This invigorating class is taught by Candice and Adam in the style of vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa is a Sanskrit word that is formed by linking two words together: Nyasa means, 'to place' and Vi means 'in a special or sacred way'. Hence Vinyasa means 'to place something in a sacred and special way.' A common definition of vinyasa is 'breath synchronised movement”. This class is for all levels, with appropriate modifications offered for anyone who needs or wants them. You may rent a mat for $5, which includes a towel for you to sit on. Exact entry instructions will be sent with ticket confirmation. Doors will open at 7:20 and close at 7:35.
If you are late you will not be allowed entry or a refund.

About Candice:
Candice is a yoga teacher and healer from Texas living and thriving in NYC. With over a decade of teaching and practicing yoga, she is still constantly humbled by the remarkable teachings, insights and delights yoga and body awareness practices can bring. She is a 300+hr trained yoga teacher, 600 hr Yoga Therapist and Certified Sexological Bodyworker. She has taught Ashtanga-inspired Vinyasa, Prenatal and Postnatal styles. Yoga ultimately led her to discover Tantra, which inspired her to create her own modality, Naked Yoga Therapy. Naked means more than nudity to her; it’s a way to embrace vulnerability, honesty and living more from one’s core values. A textile free yoga practice can illuminate and allow freedom from shame in our bodies, allow us to access more body confidence and can bring us closer and more connected to our shared humanity, recognizing how we are more similar than different.
About Adam:
Adam started Just Naked with the idea that city-dwellers might be open to experiencing nudity within the confines of their rat-infested metropoles. While he believes convening with nature is still the best way to do it, he understands that some people just can’t be convinced to subject their flesh to destructive UV rays and mosquitoes. He studied jazz music before moving to NYC to model in 2013. Teaching yoga and doing massage led him to understand how profoundly disconnected many people were from their bodies. He started teaching naked yoga in 2016, and considers Just Naked as an expansion of that endeavor. His goal is to offer folks an opportunity to shed their insecurities, piece by piece, as they do their clothes at Just Naked events.
